My R. moupinense is showing color and should be in full bloom by the time of the February meeting. I looked through the web to find upcoming events that members might be interested in: · At the NW Flower and Garden show (besides being a fun place to go) on Thursday 2/5 at 5:15 Steve Hootman will be presenting a lecture on “Rhododendron Species and Hybrids, Recommendations for your garden”. There are many other exciting lectures, for more information see www.gardenshow.org · The Meerkerk Gardens Spring Plant Sale will be March 19th and 20th. Both rhododendrons and companion plants will be sold. · The Spring Plant Sale at the Rhododendron Species Foundation will be April 2nd and 3rd . Both rhododendrons and companion plants will be sold. · The Seattle Rhododendron Society will be presenting their Annual Early Show on April 16th—18th at Well’s Medina Nursery. There is also a plant sale there to support the SRS. |
