In the absence of Greg Winters, V-Pres Ellen Moon called the meeting to order at 7:30PM, then introduced Shirley Rock, representing the Pilchuck Fuchsia Society. Shirley introduced the members of that society to the members. Wayne Lawson reminded those whose have outstanding dues payments, they would get a reminder card shortly. Shirley Rock passed around a signup sheet for the North West Flower and Garden Show. Those who sign up will have a 3 hour shift at the show which is located at the Seattle Convention Center. There is a free shuttle bus at the Northgate Park & Ride. Dave Hammond reported on his annual plant sale to help certain children in need. Dave also noted that Kathy VanVeen will be our guest speaker at our February 3rd meeting. (Ed. Note: Kathy will be at the January meeting) Dave also brought his annual cake for our refreshment during the program. Barbara Blankenship hosted the evening “gift exchange” and Jerry Rock auctioned off a very strange looking bonsai plant.
